What are Crown Lengthening ?

Gum surgery known as “crown lengthening” modifies the gum’s location around the tooth’s crown in order to reveal more tooth structure. Usually, the surgery is advised for aesthetic or practical factors.

To lengthen a tooth’s crown or improve one’s grin cosmetically, gum and/or bone tissue may be removed during a crown lengthening procedure. Although a normal dentist can perform it, patients are typically referred to a periodontist.
