Teeth Grinding

Bruxism often occurs during a deep sleep or under stress.

HomeServices / Teeth Grinding

A constant clenching or grinding of the teeth against one another is known as bruxism, or teeth grinding as it is more generally known. This is more frequently classified as a sleep disorder (sleep bruxism), however it can also happen while you are awake under certain conditions (awake bruxism). Bruxism can cause headaches, TMJ disorder, and myofascial muscle discomfort if it is not treated.

People who have sleep bruxism may also have other sleep-related illnesses, such as sleep apnea, which can exacerbate their problems because it is more difficult to manage.
